Our media trainings combine insights and skills for both novice and experienced professionals

In the coming months, I am giving an online webinar and a workshop. These are organised by CGIAR, a global agricultural research partnership, and are open for participants from nonprofit organisations.

Social Media Induction Webinar

This online webinar is a great way to give participants a bird’s eye overview of the social media landscape, specked with ample examples how each tool is used within CGIAR or within a research environment.

This interactive webinar is designed for both novices and experts alike. We take online participants from all over the globe. They are organised in 3 online sessions, either during week of May 4th or 11th. The participation cost is €200/person.

Social Media/Online Media workshop in Nairobi

This is a five days onsite, in-depth and interactive (and fun!) overview of the online media landscape, including a thorough discussion of each tool, and their use within a research environment or a nonprofit organisation.
We give a hands-on introduction to a selection of social media tools, and get participants practically started using some of these tools.

The workshop’s program will be discussed and fine-tuned based on the needs from the participants on forehand. We can typically also include:

• Review of your organisation’s media outreach
• Brainstorming on the extension of your online media reach
• In-depth review on the use of one or several of your tools (e.g. website or blog review, interactive evaluation of your use of any of your tools,..)
• Help defining/refining your online media strategy or policies

This workshop is held in Nairobi, June 1-5 2015. It is designed for both novices and experts alike. The participation cost is €500/person (which excludes lunches, accommodation and travel for the participants).

Workshops like these are not only interesting in content, but they also provide a great opportunity to network with other online media communicators, and exchange ideas, experiences, challenges and solutions with the other participants.
